A famous Film director

Shunji Iwai
Shunji Iwai was born in Juanary 24, 1963 in Japan. He was a video artist before he started his director career. His films always has a strong personal style. THe most famous film of his is Love Letter which I thought is more like a poem than a film. Love Letter received not only the success in art but also in commerce. I also like the poster of this film very much and I have one at CHina.
Love letter was released in the year 1995 which his feature film
Actually before the film love letter there is another work of Shunji Iwai must be mentioned which is Picnic. This film tells a story about three people who have mental disorders. Shunji Iwai tried to reflect some problems in the modern socity of Japan by telling this story.
In 1996 came the commercial and critical success of Swallowtail Butterfly, a multifaceted story of the fictional Yen Town, a city of immigrants in search of hope and a better life with three separate and distinct main characters. Ageha, an orphaned teenage girl, Glico , a prostitute turned pop star, and Feihong, an immigrant who manages Glico's career and owns the Yen Town club. I really apreciate the movie that I watched this movie more than five times. And I also like the music and songs of this movie. I recommend an old ENglish song "my way", this song was used in the movie for several times and Glico's voice makes it perfect. I think that Swallowtail Butterfly is the best movie of SHengji's work.
After that Shengji started to shoot some movies about teenagers life. THe tow tipical one are Hana and Alice and All About Lily-chouchou. To be honest, I don't really feel like this movies are good. SOmetimes they are a sort of difficult to understand maybe they are talking about something very deeply. However, I still like the images of these tow films.

Hana and Alice
All about Lily-chouchou.

Yoga

Yoga is very polular all over the world. I looked it up in the dict and it gives a defination as "A Hindu discipline aimed at training the consciousness for a state of perfect spiritual insight and tranquillity." I really like this kinda exercise 'cuz it will not only make me feel healthy physically but also give me a peaceful mind.

I'm not that kinda person who will stick to one hobby for a long time, but I never get rid of Yoga. I also like the way it is taught. Most Yoga coaches will say: Just try your best, but never give yourself too much pressure or force yourself to do something you obviously cannot achieve.

There certain types of Yoga

One was called Bikram Yoga( also called hot yoga) so popluar recently. Bikram yoga is done in a room heated to 105°F and accompanied by specific dialogue. The reason why it must be conducted in 40.5°C is to simulate the local tem of India.

Pilates

Actually Pilates and Yoga come of quite different origin but I think there are lots of similaities between these two. But I think that Pilates have a great effects for fittness. One of my friends went to Singaple for Six months, when she came back she looked like a different person. She told us that she lost 30 pounds. When she was in Singaple, she met a very sophiscated Pilates Coach and he recommend her to take some course focus on fittness. So she took the Pilates course for three months and it's like one hours for a week. After 3months, she turned out to lose 30Pounds...Isn't it amazing?

Culture Shock

Five months ago, I frist stepped in Canada. I have never been excited for coming here, 'cuz I had already known there would be tons of difficulties I had to overcome, not only the language. Calgary is a really good city, I must say, except the weather..... THe people here are almost friendly. However, I just feel that it is not my city. I cannot feel like this is where I should settle in..I cannot explain why. I know that I might come across the culture shock. I really feel like I am a different person here cuz I grow up in an alternative culture. When I'm in China I'm really a talktive person as I can talk to my friends on the phone for more than one hour.. In Canada, things change a lot. I don't feel free to talk to people any more even sometimes with my Chinese friends. I worked at a Hongkong restuarant before and a lady there told me if you never talked, your English will never have progress.. I know she is right but I just cannot talk even I wish I could. It always seems like the poeple around me have nothing similar with me. Sometimes I just wish if I could come here when I was a little bit younger, thus these complex stuff will never happen to me.
Now I feel much better than I first came here, I hope time can solve all the problems and everything will gonna be better....

A young man named Vactor is going to marry a pretty lady named Vactoria, EVEN though they never met before. One day, Vactor and his parents drop in Vactoria's house to discuss the stuff about the wedding. Ocasionally, Vactor met Vactoria and they are a kinda fall in love. On the wedding day, because of his neverness, Vactor made tons of mistakes in front of the Alter which lead to a failure wedding. Vactor was so sad that he went to the forest and talked to himself.... Because of some mistake, Vactor married a Corpse Bride who named Emily. And a series of storeis begin...

Hmmmm............. Japanese Anime

Let's talk about Japanese anime-A great part of my life>>

When I was a little girl, I spent most of my spare time watch these kinda thing....And never tired of them. I know it's a kinda childish..but I can never stop myself addicting into them>>
One of my best animes is City hunter! The greatest one in the history of catoon>(in my opinion)I love the author so much that in a period of time he was always my idol! It talks about a private detective's adventure and it's really interesting! Here's a picture of it.
Another one I like very much is NANA> wHich tells a story about two girls who have the same name but total different characteristics. Both of their name is NANA.aND one of them is a singer who is also a punk,And the other one is a sweet sweet girl who is really cute>Two different or a little kinda similar girls meet each other and have a great amount of storeis>aND because of the popularity of this anime, It was adapted and put in to the silver screen>HERE is the poster of the film.
Here comes the longest anime I thought in the history, Which is detective Conan. It has more than four hundred TV show and lots of OVA and also ten movies now. It tells a story(really long story) about a detective name Conan who is a middle school student. At the beginning of the anime, because of seeing some crime which was commiteed by a very evil community, He was force to take some poison. After that he became a little boy but has a intelligence he had before. See how cute he is in the following picture>>
THe last one is Dragon Ball, which I watched a lot before and also very long . i don;t know why it was so popular when I was in middle school. Sometimes we even read the catoon books in class. It's hard to get rid of it.

Egg Roll, White Pickled Turnip and Dried Purple Seaweed Soup

When mentioned Japanese cuisine, D& C seems quite popular, and almost becomes a kind of fast food, especially in Beijing. One of my friends is a Fenqing,(Young people who have negative attitudes towards Japan due to the invasion and occupation of China by Imperial Japan, and support aggressive political stances towards Japan.) but he was never hesitated when he ate the beef bowl from Yoshinoy. A beef bowl is not hard to make and Yoshinoy’s beef bowl is really Chinese-style; however, the beef bowl of D&C has been sold for more than a hundred year. From this we can learn that the more ordinary and home-style the food is, the harder to makes the taste yum and everlasting.

Jozee, the Tiger and the Fish is a movie that related to Japanese homemade cuisine, to a certain extent it is a story tells about a allegory of love and cruelty. Love starts in the kitchen and ends in the kitchen. Satoshi Tsumabuki and Ikewaki Chiziru come together. At first, he is so surprised to her paralyzed legs that he thinks she is a monster. However, unexpectedly, after tasting the unbelievable delicious breakfast she made, which is Egg Roll, White Pickled Turnip and Dried Purple Seaweed Soup, he cannot help himself being addicted to the sample but palatable food. In order to go on enjoy his meal, he also brings some materials as cod spawn and carrots. Be logical, when he enjoys this yummy he fells in love with this girl…... This movie reflects how unbelievable delicious an ordinary breakfast can be; moreover, it reflects the blend of love and life: love, desire, insistence, gentleness, ugliness, regret and aftertaste. Of course, it also represents the porridge and pickled like homemade Japanese food’s mild taste, precise method to make and the in style way to match the food.

When love is coming, the girl wants the boy to take her to the zoo to say the tiger which she always scared most and to the oceanarium to see the fish which she want to see most. Then, she tells him: If one day you abandon me, I will feel like a shellfish that get lost. Seems like know something before it will happen, the girl hugs the boy tightly. The pair of hand which can make the ordinary food have unordinary tastes, looks so pale at this time.

The most delicious time for the food is the time the food is chewed between the lip and teeth. However, when the food fells to the stomach there is something seems regretful. Similarly, the girl’s love is destined to be regretful at the end. He goes away, leave her alone. The room is empty, only leave herself barbecuing the fish, looks like barbecuing herself in the charcoal fi re. She looks like a fish, a fish never cares about herself, a fish wishes to reach the warm place, e ven though she know is the edge of the world, she is never hesitated to make herself to be the unforgettable deliciousness of his life.

The Japanese style romance, even in eating, which is so determined, definite, and straightforward, has a beauty so cruel.

Scared Movies

Movies again...
One of my favourite kind of movie is scared movies.......
I really like the feeling while I am watching it, it's more than exciting...
The first time I watched this kind of movie is togeter with my uncle, who is a police man.
I know the reason why he likes this kinda of movie, cuz the career of a police man is so stressful, so he should find a way to relax.....l..
I think the best scared movies are the one shoot by Janpanese or Korean. I don't really like the Hollywood one which are only bloody and disgesting. The best scared movies don't need to use blood.
The series of Ju On, is the one I like best. I remember the day I watch it together with my brother and sisters in law. While we were watching them, two of my brothers went out of the room and pretend to go to the bathroom.....( .And they didn't come back tp the movie until it was finished....
So actaully it was my sister in law and me finished the movie. It's really exciting and both of us cannot get asleep that night/..... After watch Ju On, we found that it was difficult to find another movie which is really scared..
I just thought that maybe I should post a poster of the movie, but.......Hmmmm..I better not...
If you are insterests in Scared Moives I really recommed you to say some Janpanese one nad Korean one..For instance..Ju On
